How to Play
All you have to do is grab the ball and run as fast as you can through the field towards the end line. Actually, the mode and instructions of play are no different from the real American Football. The catch however lies in throwing and catching the ball. You have to rush towards the yellow circle on time so as to catch the ball. Any form of delay will allow your competitors get there before you, grab the ball and attack you.
Once you grab the ball, run and dodge as many opposing team defenders as possible. Dodge the ice patches and mud holes and reach the touchdown to earn points and unlock new levels. If you happen to lose the ball during the course of your run, do your best to pick it up on time before the opposing team defenders grab it. If you happen to reach the end line without the ball, your chances of winning the game will reduce. Too many losses in possession will reduce your chances of earning points and hence increase your chances of losing the game.

Just like the previous versions, Return Man 3 has a number of different levels you need to surpass. This new version has a record 15 levels to complete. The more you progress, the more the level of difficulty increases. For instance, the number of defenders increases with each level. The good thing however is the fact that, the more levels you tackle, the more perks and special bonuses you earn. These bonuses and perks will allow you dodge your opponents easily as well as increase your speed. You will also get new players in your team as you progress.
Controls
Unlike the previous two versions, the mode of control in Return Man 3 is slightly different. A number of controls are available in the new version which makes it much easier to control. The directional controls are J, I, L, and K. The control keys D, A, and S are used to activate special moves which earn you more points.
Apart from the control and directional keys the other new control keys are; S, D and W. These new keys function by moving your player backward, forward, right and left. The L, K and J control buttons are used to trigger special moves. You can also navigate using the down, up, right and left arrows to move your player backward, forward, right and left.
